Abdul Hameed was born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Chicago. He completed his Hifdh at age 14, taught at various institutions, and led Tarawīh prayers at the American Islamic College.
He studied various Islamic sciences under Mufti Mohammed Navalur Rahman, focusing on the works of Imām Ghazālī (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ), Ibn ‘Arabī (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ), and Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindī (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ), as well as Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Tajwīd, and Fiqh at Dar al-‘Ulūm Chicago. He developed an interest in Tazkiyah after attending the Majālis of Shaykh Dr. Tanvīr Ahmad Khan, a student of Hakīm al-Ummah Mawlānā Ashraf ‘Ali Thanvī (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ) and a successor of Mawlānā Masīhullāh Khān (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ).
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mobile Programming from Columbia College Chicago. He currently lives in San Jose, CA, with his wife and four children. He works as a Lead Engineer at a FAANG company and continues his religious studies under Shaykh Ahmad Sadiq Mehtar, a senior scholar and successor of Mawlānā Masīhullāh Khān (رَحِمَهُ ٱللّٰهُ).
